ENGLISH WEEK: SEASON 5!

The 5th edition of the English Week will take place from May, 29th to June, 2nd: courses taught by invited academics and friendly events, the whole school will be English-speaking, without any subtitles!
Key moment for the School, the English Week was initiated by Laura Joyce, English teacher, in 2012. The whole program of the 2017 edition is available thanks to the renewed support of Grenoble INP Partner Foundation.

Under the spotlights for this new season: professor Brian Davison from Edimburgh Napier University’s School of Computing (Scotland) and professor Anthony Keane, Head of the Department of Informatics of the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB) in Dublin (Ireland). They will teach computer and electronics courses to second year students, in their native language. The electronics course will focus on the control of mobile robots, while the cyber security course will be dedicated to design, build and run a Capture-the -Flag competition.

The scenario of the week is based on the exchange of skills and expertise. The light will also be shed partnerships previously initiated in terms of academic exchanges, but also in terms of research projects.

Besides the educational and intercultural aim, all the school will live on English time: friendly, fun and gastronomic moments are planned throughout the week, beyond the actual teaching activities. On June, 2nd, a visit of the Tour de Crest (highest donjon in France) is planned for our guests and our international students to discover our region and exchange together. The visit will be followed by a picnic nearby the Drôme river side.

Come and exchange in English... without subtitles!
