ESISAR UP-TO-DATE AT MAKER FAIRE

On March 18-19, 2017, Grenoble INP –Esisar participated to the Grenoble Maker Faire, a worldwide renowned festival dedicated to invention, creativity and resourcefulness.
Designed to be forward-looking, Maker Faire thus features innovation and experimentation across the spectrum of science, engineering, art, performance and craft.
For its second edition in Grenoble, the Maker Faire offered Esisar and its partner STMicroelectronics the opportunity to present the LoRa GPS Tracker project. Realized within the framework of the school’s innovation projects, in collaboration with STMicroelectronics, this project relies on a LoRa communicating chip in order to track the GPS location of a mobile object in real time on a web server.

Carried out by a team of students within the technological platform Esynov for 3 months, this project enabled them to develop their skills while exploring a cutting-edge technology. The LoRa GPS Tracker project is part of the innovation projects supported by the Training Program of the IRT Nanoelec (Technological Research Institute).
