AN ESISAR STUDENT FINALIST OF THE 2017 “JEUNES AMBASSADEURS” AWARDS

Coming from all over the world, 16 international students from Grenoble INP were selected to take part in the 2017 “Jeunes Ambassadeurs” program (“Youth Ambassadors program”), including two students from Esisar, Sirine Khalifa and Nouha Dkhili, under the guidance of their coach Jean de Cachard, manager of Ixeus Group.

International activities
The ‘Jeunes Ambassadeurs’ program aims at promoting international activities within the Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes region and its main university cities (Lyon, Saint-Etienne Chambéry, Clermont-Ferrand and Grenoble), through the mentoring of a young international student by an institutional or professional decision-maker. This year, the program brought together 145 young ambassadors from 42 different nationalities and their mentors.
Alongside their business coaches, the students attend company visits, cultural excursions, international conferences and forums. They also take part in the Award program (“Trophées”), rewarding their creativity. The idea is to develop an innovative project (cultural, scientific, economic, ecological ...) bringing together their home region and their university city in France.

Out of 42 files submitted this year, 14 “Jeunes Ambassadeurs” have been nominated as finalists by the jury for their creative projects. Nouha Dkhili was among them. Thanks to the partnership between the National Engineering School of Monastir (ENIM - Tunisia) and Grenoble INP –Esisar, Nouha is an exchange student from ENIM in Esisar, in the framework of the Erasmus + Credit Mobility program.

Shared moments and International partnerships
Nouha’s project consisted of a sports event combining three disciplines, starting in Tunisia and ending in France. The idea? "I would like to change the vision of classical seaside tourism in Tunisia. There are many other sites to discover in Tunisia", explains Nouha. A country well-known by her coach, Jean de Cachard, his company, Ixeus Group, having one of its subsidiaries there.

Throughout the year, Nouha and her coach, have built affinities. Jean de Cachard takes it to heart to make the student discover French culture and to support her in her professional project. Currently doing an internship within the LCIS laboratory, Nouha, 23, is considering doing a PhD. The visit of the Synchrotron of Grenoble, planned by the ‘Jeunes Ambassadeurs’ in the year, helped her clarify her plans. The program also enables her to benefit from a professional network for contacts.

At the end of the ceremony, Nouha and all the finalists were awarded the ‘Jeunes Ambassadeurs’ diploma.
Upon return to their home country, the ‘Jeunes Ambassadeurs’ will be key-actors for the promotion of our region’s assets and will thus promote international partnerships with the Auvergne – Rhône-Alpes region..
