A new Eiffel Scholar joins Grenoble INP – Esisar, UGA in September 2026

Another success in the framework of the prestigious Eiffel Scholarship Program: next September, we will have the pleasure of welcoming a Vietnamese recipient from Bach Khoa University.
The recipient is one of the 2 Eiffel scholarship holders who will attend Grenoble INP – UGA for the 2025 academic year.
This year, the Eiffel Scholarship Program received a record 2,220 international applications, including 1,755 for master’s degree programs. This high level of interest confirms the program's appeal as a flagship initiative of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, aimed at attracting top international talent to French institutions.

The selection of Quyen My TRAN for our dual-degree program, starting next academic year, shows the strength of our partnership with the PFIEV (Programme de Formation d’Ingénieurs d’Excellence). Quyen’s strong application also highlights our success in bringing in outstanding candidates.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
Quyen is currently at the top of a class of 142 students at Bach Khoa University (formerly known as the Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic Institute). Her dedication and exceptional academic achievements have led her to receive numerous prestigious awards. Notably, she won first prize in the University-Industry category of the Bach Khoa University Innovation Competition in 2025, competing against 189 teams, for her development of an AI-based surveillance system.

This dynamic student is actively engaged in research projects in the fields of mechatronics, automation, and artificial intelligence. She serves as a junior research assistant at the Think Alpha Laboratory, where she coordinates the team’s activities and contributes to system design.

Upon hearing the announcement of the results, Quyen expressed her enthusiasm:

I firmly believe that the dual degree program at Grenoble INP - Esisar is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pursue my dreams, and I could not afford to miss it. Receiving this precious Eiffel scholarship is a great honor and a turning point in my life, opening up new journeys that I am very excited to explore!"

The Eiffel Scholarship recognizes Quyen's outstanding academic achievements and her active involvement in research and teaching support.

PFIEV: a Training Program for Top Engineers in Vietnam

The PFIEV unites the expertise of nine leading French institutions* and four Vietnamese schools (three polytechnic institutes in Hanoi, Dà Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, plus the Hanoi School of Civil Engineering) to deliver a top-tier engineering education. Since its founding in 1997, PFIEV has graduated over 200 Vietnamese engineers yearly. Its diploma, jointly issued by Vietnamese authorities and our French partners, has been officially recognised by France’s Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI) since 2004.
