My name is Lukas, I come from Vitória, a city on the coast of Brazil, and I have a background in electronics and computer engineering. I have always been passionate about cybersecurity and low-level technologies, which naturally led me to pursue an international master’s degree in this field.
Why IMESS and Esisar?
I chose Esisar and the IMESS program because it offers a rare combination of embedded systems engineering and cybersecurity. Programs with such a strong technical and practical orientation are not very common, especially those that focus on system security from hardware to software.
Additionally, studying in France was a big motivation for me. I wanted an international experience where I could learn from experts while discovering a completely different academic environment.
A strong class atmosphere and supportive environment
The classes are very hands-on, and the professors are accessible and supportive”.
My experience so far has been excellent. What I appreciate most is how the program combines theory with practical labs, helping me consolidate my knowledge quickly.
It's a great learning atmosphere, and being surrounded by international students enriches the experience even more. We always have something to share in our conversations, as each of us came from totally different places in the world.
Beyond the classroom: shared experiences
One of my best memories is my first trip to the Vercors mountains with my classmates. Coming from a tropical country, seeing snow and such dramatic landscapes was unforgettable.
The combination of nature, new friends, and the feeling of experiencing life was very special”.
What makes IMESS stand out
IMESS is ideal for students who want a solid foundation in embedded systems security and who enjoy practical, technical work. The content is challenging but very rewarding, and the environment at Esisar is supportive and motivating.
The biggest strength of IMESS is its balance between embedded systems engineering and cybersecurity. You don’t just learn theory, you actually practice and understand how secure systems are built from the ground up.
Looking ahead
After completing my master’s degree, I hope to work in the field of embedded systems security. I want to build a career based on security systems.
