Academic Calendar

Semester dates

  • Fall Semester: from the beginning of September to the third week of January
  • Spring Semester: from the end of January to the end of June. (no intake for semester 2 for exchange students)

Exams

  • Fall Semester: January for each cohort except for Year 4 students (end of December)
  • Spring Semester: time of exams depend on each year:
  • 1st year: June
  • 2nd year: May
  • 3rd year: June
  • 4th year: Project defense in the last week of June/beginning of July.
  • 5th year: Final year project defense in the third week of June or the end of August.

  • All saints: November 1st
  • 1918 Armistice: November 11th
  • Christmas: December 25th
  • New Year’s Day: January 1st
  • Easter and Easter Monday: April 4th and 5th 2021
  • Labour day: May 1st
  • 1945 Armistice: May 8th
  • Ascension Day: May 13th 2021 (university closed on May 14th)
  • Pentecost: May 23rd (university closed on May 24th 2021)
  • National day: July 14th
