Goals

This lecture is an introduction to the basics of radiofrequency electronics, in particular distributed devices and basic passive circuits. Introduction to RF analysis tools. Introduction to the measurement of RF devices.
To be able to design, measure basics passive RF devices.

Introduction to RF electronics.
Integrated transmission lines
Microstrip and planar lines
Distributed Rf devices
Matching and tuning
S matrix
RF circuit measurement
Power divider
Couplers
Passive filters
Introduction to RF CAD.

Prerequisites

Analgue electronics, Passive circuits, Transmission lines, Propagation, Basic of signal processing.

Tests

Written exam : 1h30, Calculators and Documents accepted.
25% TP and 75% exam
