The Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Systèmes industriels Avancés Rhône-Alpes is based in Valence and offers 5-year general engineering courses in design and production of embedded IT systems, focusing particularly on electronics, automation, IT, networks and security. ESISAR particularly aims to train engineers for small businesses and subsidiaries of major industrial consortiums.
Its particular feature is its ongoing partnership with the Drôme Chamber of Commerce, giving ESISAR a major role in its region's economic development .

ESISAR's teaching style is unique, offering students a change to gain professional experience alongside the scientific skills required for success as an engineer. ESISAR is the only French engineering school to offer all 4th year students a 6-month industrial project in a client company.

Research activities
Research and business promotion
Our technology transfer activities (industrial projects, expert analysis, consultancy and technical tests, professional development) cover diverse areas, such as embedded systems, advanced industrial systems such as digital printing, traceability, data transmission and RFID technology. Students' view of business issues is enriched.
The systems design and integration laboratory works with masters and doctorate students on embedded systems, optoelectronic systems and systems validation. A young and dynamic research team is in place, focusing on business development and innovation.
