Two Eiffel Excellence Scholarships awarded to Grenoble-INP Esisar

Esisar is proud to welcome two new Vietnamese students who have been awarded the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship for the upcoming year.
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme is established by the French Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education establishments to attract top foreign students to enroll in their master’s and PhD courses.

Once again this year, the program has awarded scholarships to two students from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology to join Esisar next year. Their academic skills thus confirm the excellence of their university and our partnership with the PFIEV program, the Vietnamese-French Training Program for Excellent Engineers.

The PFIEV program is a consortium of nine major French high schools*, including Grenoble INP as a founding member. Since its creation in 1997, this joint program is established in four Vietnamese universities including Hanoï Polytechnic Institute, Hô Chi Minh City University, Danang University and Hanoï University of Civil Engineering). The program trains more than 200 high-class engineers per year.

Outstanding candidates

Trung-Tin Doan and Manh-Khang Bui are the scholarship recipients this year. They are studying at Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic University (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology). Their excellent academic results and their detailed career objectives, combined with their soft skills (an exceptional open-mindedness for their young age - they are both 22 years old) made them outstanding candidates for the grant.

Both students have won prominent academic distinctions, including the bronze medal at the Mechanics National Olympiads, the first prize at the local contest for the best high school students in physics in 2020, as well as the second prize at the national contest in the same category for Trung-Tin Doan. They also are actively engaged in their university communities. Trung-Tin Doan has been involved socially with underprivileged people and volunteers as the head of the French-speaking Club, organizing the university's French Culture Day for the past three years. Manh-Khang Bui heads the logistics and music sections of the French Culture Day organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. He also manages the logistics executive committee of the University's French Speaking Club, as well as being the logistics manager for the Recruitment consulting day of the PFIEV program.

A well-deserved recognition after a nerve-wracking week: an opportunity to fulfill academic dreams

Trung-Tin and Manh-Khang share their excitement and joy after receiving the Eiffel scholarship.

"I eagerly waited all week to receive the results of the Eiffel scholarship”, recalls Trung-Tin. “I kept checking my emails every hour and closely following the updates on the official Eiffel Committee websites. At midnight last Saturday, Vietnam time,

I was thrilled and moved when I read the email confirming that I had been awarded the scholarship. I now feel fortunate and honored to be able to continue my educational journey in France with the Eiffel scholarship".

Manh-Khang too was nervous in the lead-up to the announcement: "The week before the results were announced, I became increasingly nervous every day. When I received the email from the committee at midnight on Friday, I was overjoyed.

For me, receiving the scholarship is a significant achievement and a tremendous honor. It motivates me to work and study even harder in my academic life".

We are proud to welcome both Trung-Tin Doan and Manh-Khang Bui for two academic years and congratulate them on this outstanding achievement!
