Bogdan, an IMESS* graduate student is back at Esisar

Bogdan Gheorghe, a 25-year-old former student in the IMESS* Master’s program, has returned to Esisar for 8 months to pursue his second year of PhD in automatic control.

Bogdan works under the joint supervision of Professor Ionela Prodan in the LCIS lab and Professor Florin Stoican at his home university, the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (UPB).
Reflecting on his journey and the opportunities provided by ESISAR, Bogdan shares his experience and insights:

“Firstly, I want to thank ESISAR for the opportunity to follow the IMESS program. Looking back, I consider it an essential step toward starting my research career. As evidence, my first published article at an international conference was based on the internship I did within LCIS for IMESS.

I am really grateful for the warm welcome back offered by ESISAR and LCIS staff/students. The opportunity to work with Professors, PhD students, and Interns, who are really active in their research work, inspires me.

I hope that for the following eight months, I will have results as good as the resources I have here at ESISAR”.

Bogdan is also a teaching assistant at UPB, where he teaches computer programming, data structures and algorithms, and object-oriented programming. His main research topics of interest are UAV control, multi-agent systems, stability analysis, and model predictive control.

We are happy to welcome him again and support him in achieving his academic and professional goals!
