ARC - Applied Research Competition



   Applied Research Competition of CSAW Europe is organized for the 8th time by Grenoble INP - Esisar and LCIS  laboratory in Valence, France. This "Best Paper Award" assesses the top scholarly security research already published by PhD students during the previous year. The focus of this competition is on research that has a practical impact. 

Selected finalists will be invited to present their work to CSAW'24 Europe in Grenoble-INP - Esisar in Valence, France in November 7th and 8th. A jury of industrial experts will select the three papers that will win the competition and get a prize.

Eligible submissions 2024: 


Eligible submissions include papers that meet the following five conditions:


 
  • The paper’s topic is related to the design, application, implementation, or exploitation of security technologies.
  •  The research is already being used in practice or has the potential to be used in practice.
  • The paper is published or camera-ready between 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024. Both conference papers and journal papers are eligible.
  • At least one of the paper authors was a student enrolled at a university located in the european region (*) during the publishing period, 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024. Papers are still eligible for submission if the student graduated during this period, so long as the published or camera-ready paper was submitted while the author was still a student.
  • A student author is available to present the paper in person during CSAW Finals in Valence






(*) European region: Armenia, the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom
